If you won the lottery next week what would you spend it on? What do you dream of doing? How would it change your life?
A survey commissioned by Camelot and conducted by the ABTA / MORI set out to discover just that. How winning more than 1 million affected their jackpot winners. Were they happier, did they still work and what did they spend it on?
Contrary to popular belief 98% were either just as happy as before or happier although the changes in lifestyle weren't as drastic as you might imagine. Whilst 71% moved house they only moved an average of 14 miles from their original home and usually it was to be closer to family and friends. 31% continued to work, this figure goes up to 50% after 2 years! 34% bought a new car and many took up new hobbies including, golf, scuba diving and clay pigeon shooting. When Steve Appleby from Louth won last month his dream was to follow Formula 1 around the world. Most winners shared their winnings and gave up to 40% to friends and family and those friends don't change following the win 93% still had the same best friend.
So could you live the life of a millionaire without winning the lottery? Local event management company VIP Adrenaline claim you can!
For less than £100 you could be behind the wheel of a brand new Ferrari pushing it to the maximum on a racing circuit in VIP Adrenaline's Ferrari Thrill. If that's not enough to get your adrenaline going you could try their Formula One driving Experience or their 2 day practical training course in how to fly a real military fighter jet! If all that tearing about is not for you, you could choose a pamper day and relax as your cares are massaged away or like the lottery winners you could treat friends or family to some amazing experiences without braking the bank.
So what inspired VIP Adrenaline founder Victoria Pickles to set up a company that offers Adrenaline adventure in the small Market town of Louth? Victoria says "Lincolnshire has a huge range of actives available. Often people don't realise just how many or that almost all of them can be enjoyed on a small budget and without any prior experience. Our website now lists more than 100 activities which can be tried in Lincolnshire including Golf lessons, Clay pigeon shooting and scuba diving - the very activities selected by lottery winners."
So whether your dream is to have driven a mini in the Italian job, send your 12 year old Rally driving or learn to fly you might find your dreams are much easier to fulfil than you though.
VIP Adrenaline's message is don't wait to win the lottery to explore your dreams "do it now"
