Ice driving is an awe-inspiring experience like no other, where you learn to slip into grip and skid into graceful slide . Driving flat out on a frozen lake in the middle of Scandinavia - sideways!

Imagine the combination of professional race driving instruction on frozen lakes in Porsche Carreras, and the freedom of a wilderness snowmobile Safari in a truly unique location - one of the most stunning environments in the world. Ice Driving in Sweden has to be THE ultimate driving event.

The Experience

In the far north of Sweden lies a small village called Kall which translated is Swedish for Cold! Facing the awe-inspiring, untouched side of Mount Are, this is most definitely the perfect place to experience driving at its best! Hugely supported by the late Colin McRae, many World Rally championship teams chose to test their vehicle set ups here due to the abundance of ice and snow and the perfect extreme conditions.

For 2009 we are able to offer you the opportunity to control the power of the Porsche and experience the exhilaration of Ice Driving for yourself. With 380 - 1100 spikes on each tyre, these Porsches are perfect to help you improve your basic driving skills or sharpen your racing line. Whatever your level or desire, our team of some of the most experienced ice and snow driving instructors will be at your side you ensure you get the most out of your time on the ice.

First Class Hospitality

From arrival to departure you will receive first class hospitality in a purpose designed hotel which also boasts a relaxation area and outdoor Jacuzzi offering you complimentary use throughout your stay. The hotel restaurant offers exceptional dining with views over the valley and a menu offering both Swedish and local specialities such as Moose, Deer and Trout. Conference Rooms and full Internet facilities are also available upon request.

Ice Driving Typical Itinerary

Itineraries can be tailored to suit your group or individual needs. A sample itinerary is as follows:-

Day 1

Arrive at Ostersund Are Airport. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the Hotel where you can relax in one of the Saunas or hot tubs before dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of ice driving experience with Porsches and other high performance cars, to include the following:-

- Briefing

- Slalom

- Fast lane change

- Lunch - Lapp Style in Tee-Pee Tent

- Handling Track - (understeer/oversteer)

- Racing Taxi - See how the professionals do it!

At the end of the day, return to the hotel where you can make use of the relaxation area and outdoor heated sauna before dining in the restaurant and retiring to the bar.

Day 3

After breakfast, experience the unbelievable tranquility of the wilderness with a Snowmobile Safari on the frozen lakes and forest tracks. In the past our guests have been amazed at how much fun and excitement they have had on a snowmobile, so if you think these machines are slow - think again! After a full safety briefing your guide will take you across snow packed hills and valleys and then open up across the vast expanses of frozen lakes. Take in the environment at close hand, and see if you can spot the wildlife in its natural environment, such as Elk, Lynx and Moose!

Lunch is taken in one of the traditional hunting lodges before returning to the hotel to check out and transfer to the airport.
