VIP Adrenaline is today celebrating success as its managing director Victoria Pickles was crowned the Top Female Entrepreneur at the Women of Achievement Awards.
The Award sponsored by Edwards and Pearce was to reward an entrepreneur who has initiative and dedication and who has aspired to reach goals in her chosen field and having successfully achieved those goals is an inspiration to others.
Speaking about Victoria, compare Helen Philpot said "since setting up VIP Adrenaline in 2004, Victoria now has clients which include Rolls Royce, Dell and Tesco and works as far afield as California and Monaco. Whether she is flying in a squad of helicopters for an event or racing sports cars, she has developed a fantastic reputation for creating the ideal client experience, with an eye for quality and detail."
Part of the judging process for the Awards, organised by Women in Business, was for short listed candidates to face a dragon's den style interview. Victoria said "the interview was fantastic the judges gave me a real grilling."
Harriet Dunn, chair of Women In Business, which hosts the awards, said: "The standard of entries this year has been incredibly high and our judges certainly had their work cut out in reaching their final decisions
With the caliber of entrant being so high Victoria was shocked and delighted when she was announced as the winner of the female Entrepreneur award. She said "I'm absolutely thrilled. I came to the awards today knowing I'd been short listed and wholly expecting to come third. To win it is fantastic."
The Awards were presented by Entertainer, Author and Guest Speaker Toyah Wilcox who had the four hundred and fifty members of the audience enthralled as she spoke about her career, the challenges she'd faced and how she's overcome them in her own irrepressible style.
Other winners included Chris Abbott, head of South Hunsley School in Melton, who won the local government award and overall woman of achievement award. Linda Ellis, General Manager of Humberside Offshore Training Association (Hota) who scooped the established business award. Trish Altoft of Beverley Community Lift who won the voluntary and community award and Beci Hall who claimed the new business award for setting up online store Pink Princess.
